In the clip, the musician for the album Buss It Baby describes the atmosphere inside the precinct. He states that watching the women engage in the process made him emotional. He notes that their presence reminded him of their consistent role in community life.
"All women in general are amazing but its something about my sista’s man, I just wanna tell y’all," Plies says in the video. He continues, "Walking in that place and seeing y’alls give y’alls services, that sh*t really just chokes me up." He adds that the scene reminded him of how caring and invested the group is in the democratic process.
The rapper identifies as a Florida native. He has previously discussed his political views in public forums. This specific video marks a departure from his typical energetic performance style, capturing a quieter, reflective moment on camera.
The recording shows Plies holding back tears as he speaks directly to the camera. He emphasizes that the effort of these voters was visible and impactful. The video was released on social media platforms following the close of voting lines in his district.
