Dublin concertgoers will have access to an exclusive performance by Robert Plant and his band Saving Grace at Trinity College. The date is set for Tuesday, June 29, 2027, as part of the college’s summer series.
The show is one stop on the group’s newly announced Root & Branch tour. The itinerary includes other UK and Irish venues such as Hampton Court Palace Festival, Lincoln Castle, The Piece Hall in Halifax, and Scarborough's Open Air Theatre. These dates follow a recent run of US performances and the release of the four-track EP, Saving Grace: All That Glitters, last month.
The band formed in 2019 at Plant’s home on the Welsh border. The lineup includes vocalist Suzi Dian, drummer Oli Jefferson, guitarist Tony Kelsey, banjo and string player Matt Worley, and cellist Barney Morse-Brown. Their shared musical interests span blues, folk, gospel, country, and roots genres.
The group’s self-titled album, released in 2025, received positive critical reviews for its blend of traditional and contemporary sounds. The new EP continues that direction with tracks including The Blackest Crow, Two Coats, Orphan Girl, and Poison. The songs are traditional pieces and works by Gillian Welch and Bert Jansch.
Plant recently accepted the Lifetime Achievement Award at the Americana Music Association Awards. The accolade recognized his long career, including his time as the frontman for Led Zeppelin.
Tickets for the Trinity College show go on pre-sale on November 4 and November 5. General sale begins on Friday, November 6.
