President Donald Trump will return to Ohio on Wednesday to campaign for the state's Republican ticket. He plans to take the stage at the Shoemaker Center on the Ohio University campus in Chillicothe.
The event schedule lists doors opening at 3:30 p.m. The formal program also begins at 3:30 p.m. Trump is expected to deliver his remarks at 7 p.m.
This is the third time the president has traveled to Ohio for a midterm rally. His first stop came on Oct. 3 at Butler High School in Vandalia. There, he endorsed Vivek Ramaswamy for governor and John Husted for U.S. Senate.
During that Vandalia appearance, Trump urged supporters to vote as if they were choosing him. He cited immigration, gas prices, and data centers as key issues. He promised that if Husted wins, he will pass the Rate Payer Protection Act to address electricity costs from data centers.
His second stop occurred on Oct. 12 in Youngstown. Trump focused on economic growth in that city. He told the crowd that Ohio is entering a new period of prosperity. He pointed to manufacturing growth and new development projects as proof of his policies. He claimed that American exports have reached their highest level. He noted that the steel industry is returning after years of factory closures.
Ohio is a key battleground for this election. Both parties are watching the governor and Senate races closely. Control of Congress and statewide offices depends on the results in this state.
