The legal team for Green Bay Packers running back Josh Jacobs has entered a formal dispute against three new accounts of misconduct that surfaced during a police records release this weekend. The statements from Jacobs' attorneys, David Z. Chesnoff, Richard A. Schonfeld, and Clarence F. Duchac III, challenge the validity of claims made by women who reported incidents to Hobart-Lawrence Police Department investigators.

The legal team characterized the three accounts as uncorroborated, old, and previously unreported, noting that the Brown County District Attorney's office had possessed the information for months. They described the allegations as hearsay that is easily disproven by evidence Jacobs has retained. The attorneys emphasized that Jacobs took responsibility for the May incident by pleading no contest to misdemeanor charges of battery and criminal damage to property on Sept. 10.

Specific factual rebuttals were provided for each of the three women in the police records. Regarding one claimant from 2022, Jacobs' lawyers stated that the NFL reviewed her prior claim and decided no action was warranted. They noted that Jacobs has kept evidence supporting his version of events and the league's final decision. The attorneys added that this specific claim was made only after Jacobs called Las Vegas police to report the woman for misconduct at his home.

For a second woman who alleged an incident in April 2021, the legal team pointed to police records from that time. Hobart-Lawrence officers observed no visible signs of injury, bruising, or damage consistent with a physical altercation. The third account, involving a woman who met Jacobs through social media in May 2022, was disputed by the assertion that another person was present in the house for part of her stay.

The three women's statements were part of records released Friday night in response to a public records request. One woman alleged that Jacobs slapped her and threw her phone into a pool in 2022. Another claimed he pushed her against a wall in 2021, while a third described a hair-grabbing incident in 2022 where Jacobs allegedly threatened deportation. Jacobs returned to the field for the Packers' last two games after spending the first six weeks on the commissioner's exempt list.

The NFL stated on Saturday that it would review the new allegations as part of its ongoing investigation. Spokesman Brian McCarthy confirmed the league is examining the materials. Jacobs and his former girlfriend have both sought to seal the video footage from the garage where the May incident occurred. The May case stemmed from a disturbance at Jacobs' Wisconsin home on May 23, where police said the woman hit her head after being thrown to the ground.
